$295.00

Help your child build lasting music skills through engaging, step-by-step lessons that develop confidence, creativity, and music literacy.

Pre-Maestro 1 is a full-year elementary music course taught by experienced music educator Miss Linda McCarty. Designed specifically for 4th and 5th grade students who are new to music or need a stronger foundation, the course begins with focused introductory lessons before transitioning seamlessly into the full Maestro 1 curriculum.

Through singing, rhythm activities, movement, listening, and hands-on music making, students develop strong foundational music literacy skills in a way that feels approachable and encouraging.

Lessons are self-paced and typically 25–35 minutes long, making it easy for families to fit music into their homeschool schedule.

Throughout the course, students explore:

  • singing and pitch development
  • rhythm and meter
  • solfege and hand signs
  • reading music on the staff
  • melodic composition and improvisation
  • movement and creative expression
  • percussion instruments and mallet technique
  • listening and responding to music

The carefully sequenced lessons help students build confidence step-by-step while preparing for continued musical growth, private lessons, choir, band, or future instrumental study.

Designed especially for older elementary beginners, Pre-Maestro 1 helps students build confidence in singing, rhythm, movement, and music literacy through carefully sequenced, hands-on music lessons.
