Life Skills is a one-semester elective designed to help students develop the skills they need for everyday life.

The course focuses on personal values, goal setting and planning, and problem-solving. Students learn how to handle media and peer pressure, communicate effectively, build and maintain relationships, work with others, avoid or resolve conflicts, make decisions, maintain wellness and personal safety, practice good citizenship, environmental awareness, and contribute to their community.

The course is organized into six units: Course Introduction, Thinking about Yourself, Thinking for Yourself, Taking Care of Yourself, Caring for Your Relationships, and Caring about Your World.

Ready your student for life outside the classroom. When learners gain the skills to get to the next level, opportunities come calling.
