Earth Science – Skills Recovery builds on students’ natural curiosity about the world around them. By exploring geological history, remarkable landforms, the oceans and atmosphere, and discoveries about the universe, the course helps students connect science to their everyday world.

Students study topics such as geology, oceanography, meteorology, and astronomy, including Earth’s minerals and rocks, Earth’s interior, plate tectonics, earthquakes, volcanoes, continental movement, the fossil record, oceans and atmosphere, and the solar system. Lesson activities guide students in discovering how scientists study and understand our planet.

This course is designed to support learners who would benefit from remediation of general skills or strengthen skills in specific areas.
