Kindergarten History and Social Sciences in Spanish

The course Kindergarten History and Social Sciences in Spanish supports ELL, ESL, Spanish dual-language, and immersion programs by introducing students to foundational social studies topics such as family, home, community, culture, geography, and early U.S. history, all while reinforcing language development. Through visual aids, interactive lessons, and hands-on activities, students learn how to locate themselves and their families within a cultural and geographic context. They also study maps, globes, and basic physical geography, helping them understand their surroundings. The course guides students in exploring history by learning about the first peoples of the Americas, the founding of the United States, and civic responsibilities, including citizenship and economics, all while building their Spanish fluency and enhancing their comprehension of social studies concepts.
