U.S. Government and Politics – Skills Recovery focuses on the history, organization, and functions of the United States government.

Beginning with the Declaration of Independence and continuing through the present day, students explore the relationship between individual Americans and their governing bodies. They take a close look at the political culture of our country and gain insight into the challenges faced by citizens, elected officials, political activists, and others.

Students learn about the roles of political parties, interest groups, the media, and the Supreme Court, while also establishing their own perspectives on current political issues.

This course is designed to support learners who need to revisit essential concepts while still building solid preparation for future coursework. Diagnostic tests assess students’ current knowledge and generate individualized study plans, allowing students to focus on topics that need review.

This is a digital course accessed via an Online Learning Platform—no physical product will be shipped unless physical materials are purchased as an add-on to the course.

This Skills Recovery course is best suited for those students who have already completed the Standard Level and need to revisit certain topics. Where students show mastery, they can move quickly through the lessons, while receiving additional practice in the areas where they need more support.
