Algebra 1 - Honors

Learning Format

Algebra 1 – Honors builds on the math skills students learned in middle school and helps them progress into more advanced algebraic thinking. Because it follows updated middle school math standards, the course may cover concepts in a slightly different way than older versions of Algebra, offering a clearer and more connected learning experience.

Students deepen their understanding of both linear and exponential relationships by comparing how they work and how they differ. They also learn to apply linear models to data that shows a consistent pattern or trend.

Throughout the course, students explore quadratic functions, learning how to analyze them, solve them, and use them in meaningful applications. This honors-level track provides additional depth and challenge to support strong math learners.

Ready your student for life outside the classroom. When learners gain the skills to get to the next level, opportunities come calling.
