Animation and Character Design Unit Bundle

K12 AI Labs Unit Bundle

The Animation and Character Design Unit Bundle takes students through the full creative arc of AI-assisted visual production—from generating a character concept to building a storyboard to presenting a completed portfolio. Across five lessons, students develop both the technical skills and the critical perspective needed to work with AI image generation tools effectively and responsibly.

Students use platforms like Adobe Firefly, Leonardo AI, DALL·E, and LTX Studio to generate, refine, and iterate on visual work across each lesson. The unit also weaves in substantive ethical content—examining questions of copyright, consent, bias in AI-generated imagery, and the professional implications for human designers and animators.

The unit culminates in a Portfolio Showcase, where students curate and present their work as a cohesive body of creative production. All five lessons are ISTE-aligned and instructor-ready, with full guides, design templates, feedback protocols, and differentiation supports.

Our two lessons on Responsible and Ethical AI use are included for FREE with this package.

This is a digital lesson accessed via lesson PDF—no physical product will be shipped.

AI Labs is designed for middle and high school classrooms but is adaptable across grade levels. It fits naturally into computer science, media, elective, or STEM programs—and can be taught as a semester course, stretched to a full-year, or a flexible collection of standalone lessons with 10 Cumulative Project options with teacher materials and student pacing guide.
