9th Grade English - Skills Recovery
9th Grade English - Skills Recovery is a flexible online course designed for students who need to retake the course or catch up to their peers.
The course includes engaging and interactive instruction about reading, writing, speaking and listening, and language, with a focus on exploring a wide variety of genres and their elements.
Students learn how to carefully read, interpret, and analyze literature and nonfiction works of cultural or historical significance appropriate to 9th Graders. Examples of works studied include ""The Black Cat"", ""Ain't I a Woman?"", ""Nothing Gold Can Stay"", and the novel ""The Alchemist"".
This course is designed to support learners who need to revisit essential concepts while still building solid preparation for future coursework. Diagnostic tests help assess each student’s current knowledge and create individualized study plans, allowing students to focus on the areas where they need the most review.
