Health - Credit Recovery
Health - Credit Recovery helps students develop the knowledge and skills they need to make healthy decisions that keep them active, safe, and informed.
The course introduces the key components of a healthy lifestyle and strategies for making positive choices. Students explore mental, emotional, social, consumer, and physical health concepts.
Students have opportunities to apply their personal values to decisions about their health. They learn the importance of good nutrition, disease prevention, basic first aid, and CPR skills, and gain awareness of the risks associated with drug, alcohol, and tobacco use.
Throughout this one-semester course, students develop communication and decision-making skills to demonstrate healthy choices with respect for themselves, their families, and others.
This course is designed to support learners who need to revisit essential concepts while still building solid preparation for future coursework.
Diagnostic tests assess students’ current knowledge and generate individualized study plans, allowing students to focus on topics that need review.
